Antônio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 14th minute of the match. Hector Covarrubias took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio de Azevedo. Antônio de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Alan Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio de Azevedo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Hector Covarrubias struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Antônio de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Raul Venegas made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Apocalipse FC's Doriva Loyola. 55 minutes into the match, Apocalipse FC's goalkeeper Antônio de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apocalipse FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Hector Covarrubias scored to the left of an out of position Antônio de Azevedo, making the score, 0-2. After having played for 65 minutes, Xavier Zoido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Zoido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Jose Sanz in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Apocalipse FC's Tiago Gabriel Brodel. 70 minutes into the match, Apocalipse FC's goalkeeper Antônio de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. Jaime Pardo in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antônio de Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Primitivo Escribano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Apocalipse FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antônio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Jaime Pardo in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antônio de Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A well placed Jaime Pardo short distance shot in the 92nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 96th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Apocalipse FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paraguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
