Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 10th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Marcus Östman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino. Reynaldo Tino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Reynaldo Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when Swindon Sweden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Tino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Greger Hääger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reynaldo Tino made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes, Sven-Erik Lindberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swindon Sweden FF and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 played minutes Swindon Sweden FF got a freekick which was hit by Greger Hääger. Swindon Sweden FF's Sten Jespersson was substituted for Sven-Erik Lindberg. The supporters of Mexico booed when Swindon Sweden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greger Hääger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Swindon Sweden FF from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Sten Jespersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Swindon Sweden FF getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Algot Spets hit a great ball. With a little luck, Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico played a much better game than Swindon Sweden FF and deserved their victory. The Swindon Sweden FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
