Asdrubal Jubera's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asdrubal Jubera helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hub Yap Para kap! Peter Schmeichel had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 18 minutes Hub Yap Para kap's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Facundo Cadaval heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 23 minutes into the match, Hub Yap Para kap's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Peter Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Hub Yap Para kap's Nejat Alp Sezmen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nejat Alp Sezmen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. In the 32nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hub Yap Para kap's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hub Yap Para kap's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 35th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hub Yap Para kap's Peter Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hub Yap Para kap's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Schmeichel came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Peter Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Ingvar Vallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Vallin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 75 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joaquin Ledesma who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Elivélton Barros managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Peter Schmeichel made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Luca Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Peter Schmeichel to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 minutes of play, Hub Yap Para kap's Ingvar Vallin made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
