Humberto Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Juan Velloso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Xavier. That made the score 6-0 after 33 minutes of play. Humberto Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Xavier. When Dorival Viana came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Viana couldn't finish the play. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Christian Monteiro was substituted for Juvenal de Queiroz.
