Sidnei Dionísio scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Damasceno to maneuver through the defense. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Humberto Andrade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antônio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 41st minute of play. Antônio Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Damasceno's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Elias Damasceno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Antônio Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Vânderson De la Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 卡納里尼奧 FC the free kick. In the 48th minute of the match Abel Vidal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Ferreira skillfully saved the ball.

The wind increased when Elias Damasceno made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Eliseu Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antônio Ferreira. Antônio Ferreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The supporters of Clube Atl. Taquaritinga booed when 卡納里尼奧 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Dionísio in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Dionísio in the 63rd minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Antônio Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 卡納里尼奧 FC's Elias Damasceno got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 卡納里尼奧 FC made a substitution. Severino da Cunha replaced Vítor da Costa. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Carlinhos Baiano was substituted for Humberto Andrade. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Damasceno got free with Antônio Ferreira in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Alagoano in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Ferreira saved Clube Atl. Taquaritinga from getting behind. In the 85th minute Délio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Antônio Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atl. Taquaritinga from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Célio Albuquerque got a free kick in the 91st minute. Fiori Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. João Vítor Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atl. Taquaritinga. João Vítor Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 卡納里尼奧 FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
