ITAFUT 4EVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. ITAFUT 4EVER's Ernesto Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson De la Cruz in the 55th minute of play. ITAFUT 4EVER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fiori Guimarães ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fiori Guimarães got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ernesto Varela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ernesto Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Diniz. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Vânderson De la Cruz got a free kick in the 88th minute. Antônio Ferreira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Estevez Palmeira. 90 minutes into the game, Léo Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ITAFUT 4EVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atl. Taquaritinga the free kick. ITAFUT 4EVER's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
