The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Imbituba - FSCMZ's Acácio Ortiz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 5 minutes into the game, Mestre GG's Dé Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Raúl de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Linares's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute Cristóvão Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wilian Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguinho de Queirós was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After having played for 14 minutes, Amadeu Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mestre GG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Francisco Mota struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rodriguinho de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. In the 18th minute Acácio Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio Ortiz took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl de Amaral. Raúl de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Imbituba - FSCMZ's Acácio Ortiz in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Acácio Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raúl de Amaral having to make a save. When Imbituba - FSCMZ's Cristóvão Linares in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mestre GG's goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristóvão Linares to make the kick off. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Acácio Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu Pombal hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Raúl de Amaral threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristóvão Linares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mestre GG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diguinho Magalhães was slow to take the kick. During this time Imbituba - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. 67 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Acácio Ortiz. After a defensive mix-up in Mestre GG's zone, Acácio Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl de Amaral came out of the goal and Acácio Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Ortiz came free, but Raúl de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Acácio Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Olívio Castro got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rodriguinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Paiva in the 95th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Dé Paiva sped through Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodriguinho de Queirós. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Imbituba - FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
