Marco Ruben struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Laçın Cumayev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Ruben in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laçın Cumayev saved SC Braga from getting behind. Amado Parente kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Jon-Egil Sætre got a free kick in the 33rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ederono Vilardell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quintino Carvalhais's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Ederono Vilardell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Carvalhais, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Amado Parente hit a great ball.
