After 8 minutes of play, Mamutes EC's Valério Meireles made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ederono Vilardell was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Lejf Snefog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Madureira in the 12th minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ederono Vilardell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Panno, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Mamutes EC booed when ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergi Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Mamutes EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vitinho Madureira took the corner. In the 21st minute, Marco Ruben fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Magno Correia, passed just outside the right post. 邱邦岚 hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Ruben. Magno Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ruben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Rosendo Danel got a free kick in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Mamutes EC's Magno Correia got control of the ball when Marco Ruben tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magno Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ruben, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mamutes EC's Magno Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Mamutes EC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Mamutes EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Ruben made a kick off. Ederono Vilardell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valério Meireles in the 55th minute of the match. Väino Kartul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Ruben scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magno Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ederono Vilardell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Panno went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mamutes EC's Magno Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ruben in the 70th minute of play. Moisés Bueno was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Mamutes EC defense, Adilson Ceresso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Correia. The Mamutes EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Correia should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Ruben in the 84th minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Mamutes EC's Fariz Low was substituted for Dito das Neves. Magno Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Madureira in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mamutes EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vitinho Madureira was slow to take the kick. During this time ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Vitinho Madureira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Magno Correia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 97 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Ruben came free, but Magno Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
