The Punua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olav Suur should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli got control of the ball when Prudencio Bras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Gotzon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Galo do Japi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galo do Japi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
