André de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play forced Tingara FC - DMZ's goalkeeper André de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. André de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Tingara FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but André de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André de Sousa having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Lorenz Palacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André de Sousa came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lorenz Palacio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Frederic Humbelets hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. André de Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 52nd minute. After 55 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André de Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lorenz Palacio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André de Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André de Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André de Sousa having to make a save. After having played for 65 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Jorge Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tingara FC - DMZ's André de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 74th minute of play. Tingara FC - DMZ's Luís Maciel was substituted for José Ramos. In the 76th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André de Sousa having to interfere. André de Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 83rd minute. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André de Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Karim Kristmar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
