In the 13th minute, Witomir Gajewski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. If Olaf Niemojewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Baboszewo's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Wincent Kasprzykowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witomir Gajewski in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes Baboszewo got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Niemojewski. Wincent Kasprzykowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play forced Baboszewo's goalkeeper Wincent Kasprzykowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Niemojewski in the 42nd minute of play. When Roch Sidorowicz fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baboszewo's protests and gave Roch Sidorowicz a yellow card for diving instead. Roch Sidorowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witomir Gajewski to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Olaf Niemojewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Baboszewo to leave the ground with a draw.
