The FC Dwa Do Ósmej fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franciszek Lerych should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fotis Katramados. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 15th minute of play forced FC Dwa Do Ósmej's goalkeeper Franciszek Lerych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, FC Dwa Do Ósmej's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Franciszek Lerych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, FC Dwa Do Ósmej's Fotis Katramados dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Franciszek Lerych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Lerych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. FC Dwa Do Ósmej's Franciszek Lerych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 60th minute of play. Franciszek Lerych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 72 minutes into the match, FC Dwa Do Ósmej's goalkeeper Franciszek Lerych had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. Many of USA's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. USA may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Dwa Do Ósmej were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
