In the 10th minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 17th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Ronaldo Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. São Francisco FC86's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Maltez in the 42nd minute. São Francisco FC86's Jorge Maltez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joshua Secada in the 44 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Ronaldo Pinheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Mauro Castilho made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Mauro Castilho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to São Francisco FC86 getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Leonel Júdice hit a great ball. Many of Venezuela's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Venezuela may have spent more time on the ball, but São Francisco FC86 were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
