Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sten Malm kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Pardo in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Olof Gustafsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Sanz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Sten Malm tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Brunkens Bollklubb got a corner. Paraguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonas Almkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Nils Engström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Nils Engström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Brunkens Bollklubb's Sven-Olof Gustafsson. Sven-Olof Gustafsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonas Almkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Almkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Brunkens Bollklubb got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Almkvist. Nils Engström hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Sven-Olof Gustafsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brunkens Bollklubb's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Sten Malm took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 40 in the game by Sten Malm from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Nores managed to make a qualified save. Paraguay's players were relieved. Nils Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Sten Malm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Brunkens Bollklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Sven-Olof Gustafsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes of play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Gustafsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th match minute, Brunkens Bollklubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Almkvist to maneuver through the defense. Brunkens Bollklubb's Sten Malm got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Sten Malm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brunkens Bollklubb and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Brunkens Bollklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Malm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sven-Olof Gustafsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nils Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Nils Engström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils Engström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After 84 played minutes Brunkens Bollklubb got a freekick which was hit by Mats Stenman. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Brunkens Bollklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Stenman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Malm in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Covarrubias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Olof Gustafsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th match minute, Brunkens Bollklubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Almkvist to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Sven-Olof Gustafsson made a huge save. The Paraguay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Paraguay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
