Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Åkesson in the 20th minute of the match. If Kjell Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Åkesson scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's Kjell Åkesson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Ivar Askelöf got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kjell Åkesson was the one to do the kick off. Roque Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Walter Wallander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. JKs Talanger's Kent Möller was substituted for Gunther Zapf. After 68 minutes of play, JKs Talanger's Kjell Åkesson made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Åkesson in the 78th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Walter Wallander made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Kjell Åkesson notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Octavian Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Åkesson in the 87th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
