Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venko Petrov's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitar Vetzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes FC Bansko got a freekick which was hit by Paun Atkov. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paun Atkov in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, FC Bansko's Paun Atkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Paun Atkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitar Vetzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paun Atkov in the 28th minute. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivan Toromanov was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Bansko's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venko Petrov in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venko Petrov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Venko Petrov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Dimitar Vetzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Zorita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Bansko booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paun Atkov in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Dimitar Vetzov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venko Petrov in the 65th minute of the match. FC Bansko's Gencho Mangezov was substituted for Ivan Toromanov. Dimitar Vetzov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Venko Petrov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Dimitar Vetzov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Bansko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencho Mangezov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, FC Bansko's goalkeeper Dimitar Vetzov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Bratan Rogev hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The FC Bansko support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
