An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 73rd minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Case Tisdell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manly FC's Case Tisdell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Manly FC from getting a goal against them. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
