The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Dick Nordström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Marciano Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bengan Boys BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Isadore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hubert Stenkvist. A collision led to Bengan Boys BK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rolf Åberg hit a great ball. Bengan Boys BK's Břetislav Kokeš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Dick Nordström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pär Sillén fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bengan Boys BK's protests and gave Pär Sillén a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bengan Boys BK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pär Sillén hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

50 minutes into the game, Dick Nordström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Dick Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conny Bergfelt struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bengan Boys BK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 67th minute of play forced Bengan Boys BK's goalkeeper Břetislav Kokeš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Isadore in the 69th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Isadore in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Bengan Boys BK's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Břetislav Kokeš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Bengan Boys BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Lööf to maneuver through the defense. If Marciano Isadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bengan Boys BK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hubert Stenkvist hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matthew Garrido got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abraham Alguacil. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
