An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 4th minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinando Scarinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 4th minute of the match. Adriano Carafa took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Velester Football Club getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stephan Wehkamp hit a great ball. Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 9th minute of play. Ferdinando Scarinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Velester Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Ferdinando Scarinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Carafa got free with Marco Day in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci. Ferdinando Scarinci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Comunardo Valente sent off a good shot on target. 鲁斐树 hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ferdinando Scarinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led USA's Jacob May to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferdinando Scarinci despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cassius Byrne's late challenge caught a Velester Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cassius Byrne helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Velester Football Club booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cassius Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Carafa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Velester Football Club from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci got control of the ball when Edward Mcdonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Mcdonald got free with Ferdinando Scarinci in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferdinando Scarinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velester Football Club's Pietro Romeo was substituted for Betão Camargo. Stephan Wehkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Velester Football Club made a substitution. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
