Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 4 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play forced FC ANC's goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Petricca, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yanne Van Eyken was slow to take the kick. During this time FC ANC's players had a chance to rest. In the 29th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC ANC's Martin Tudor. Martin Tudor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Quiroga in the 37th minute. FC ANC's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play. Yanne Van Eyken hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Måns Kjellman was the one to do the kick off. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Martin Tudor made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Tudor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Tudor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute Artemio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Kjellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico played a much better game than FC ANC and deserved their victory. The FC ANC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
