The Isótopos V.M. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Di Stasi should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Taribo West tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Di Stasi having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Alonso Berganza threw the ball into play from the sideline. Telmo Nogueira made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Domingo Oihenarte however managed to control. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Isótopos V.M.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ignacio Di Stasi made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 98th minute. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
