Ruperto Gonza hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Tajo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Dare Devils booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Tajo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 22 minutes into the game, Denis Covali cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Sebastián Puig was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Julio Vera, was totally fooled by Dare Devils's Emilian Iorga, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 34 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Clemente Tajo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ghenadie Bumbu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Clemente Tajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Sancho was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Dare Devils made a substitution. Filip Gribincea replaced Constantin Chiritã. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Clemente Tajo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 58th minute. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clemente Tajo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Clemente Tajo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Dare Devils's Filip Gribincea got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Clemente Tajo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 69th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Tajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Gonza, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruperto Gonza went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
