After 30 minutes of play, Sperides's Henning Valler made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Roberto Peto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucero Mezquita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The supporters of Sperides booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sperides's Lucas Darling got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Edmundo Espiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. After 74 minutes, Lucero Mezquita made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side.
