Isaac Deckbergh came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Lövgren in the 5th minute of play. Forward BK's Isaac Deckbergh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Sebastian Villa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 12 minutes, Gottfrid Hermansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forward BK and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Gines struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forward BK. 41 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Dacio came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Deckbergh. Forward BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half.
