Narciso Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamatis Kazatzidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Charis Kastanos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, GOD OF WAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charis Kastanos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in GOD OF WAR's zone, Cristian Jerardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michalis Bouras came out of the goal and Cristian Jerardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Anselmo Esdras dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michalis Bouras, 1-0. Michalis Bouras made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Nicasio Mendebal sent off a good shot on target. Michalis Bouras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Endira in the 23rd minute. Anastasios Karidis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Alketas Vertsotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Esdras got free with Michalis Bouras in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Esdras during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GOD OF WAR booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michalis Bouras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Esdras in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 52 played minutes GOD OF WAR got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Kazatzidis. 56 minutes into the match, GOD OF WAR's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Mendebal came free, but Michalis Bouras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Tassakos charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kostas Tassakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes GOD OF WAR got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Tassakos. Michalis Bouras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Inge in the 60th minute of play. GOD OF WAR's Michalis Bouras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Inge in the 63rd minute of play. When Alketas Vertsotis came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the GOD OF WAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alketas Vertsotis couldn't finish the play. Michalis Bouras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Segundo Inge went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Anselmo Esdras hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Anselmo Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96thth minute of the game Alketas Vertsotis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIVER's Narciso Jerrald was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. RIVER had played much better football throughout.
