The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adolfo Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Ixaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Fernado came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER's Anselmo Esdras. But to his dismay, Anselmo Esdras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Amelie FC's Adolfo Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Hernando in the 10th minute of play. Alvaro Hernando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Mendebal in the 23rd minute of play. Amelie FC's Adolfo Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Jerardo in the 27th minute of play. RIVER's Narciso Jerrald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save RIVER from getting a goal against them. Amelie FC's Adolfo Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Inge in the 36th minute of play. Adolfo Fernado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, RIVER's goalkeeper Narciso Jerrald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Galtero. In the 43rd minute, one of Amelie FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Amelie FC. Cristian Jerardo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Hernando was the one to do the kick off. Segundo Inge was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Amelie FC's Adolfo Fernado got control of the ball when Alvaro Hernando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, RIVER's Segundo Inge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. 0-6 became the score in the 63rd minute when Segundo Inge elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adolfo Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Esdras in the 66th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Alejo Llanos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER and the Amelie FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alejo Llanos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Galtero in the 75th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Narciso Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Ixaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes Amelie FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristian Jerardo who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Alvaro Hernando drilling the ball in to score 1-7 behind Amelie FC's goalkeeper. 87 minutes into the match, Amelie FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Fernado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Esdras. 92 minutes into the game, Segundo Inge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adolfo Fernado. Segundo Inge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8.
