Xian Rosete came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Team's Gerardo Maldonado. But to his dismay, Gerardo Maldonado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Hector-Luis Forcada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Cortez was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector-Luis Forcada in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Cortez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Golden Team's Severiano Jenaro got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 34 played minutes Camino Rojo got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Varioz. Xian Rosete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Lizardi in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Camino Rojo booed when Golden Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Ponciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Orlo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 43rd playminute. With a little luck, Camino Rojo's Xian Rosete got control of the ball when Emanuel Orlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Orlo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xian Rosete came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Orlo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Emanuel Orlo made the kick off in the second half. Camino Rojo's Xian Rosete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Lizardi in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Melquiades Ponciano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Orlo in the 61st minute of play forced Camino Rojo's goalkeeper Xian Rosete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Ponciano hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Luis Cortez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector-Luis Forcada's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Golden Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Hector-Luis Forcada scored to the left of an out of position Luis Cortez, making the score, 4-1. 86 minutes into the match, Gerardo Maldonado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xian Rosete. Camino Rojo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerardo Maldonado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Camino Rojo's Xian Rosete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Orlo in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Camino Rojo's zone, Emanuel Orlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xian Rosete came out of the goal and Emanuel Orlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Golden Team fully deserved thier win.
