The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Christian Ciccarelli notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cambotinha EC's Guilherme Porto. Guilherme Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cambotinha EC's Cristóvão Mendonça got a free kick in the 7th minute. A hard shot by Emiliano Losito from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Guilherme Porto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Paulo Bueno hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in A.c Tre dei Frati's zone, Emanuel de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Valeri came out of the goal and Emanuel de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Aldo Pallotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes A.c Tre dei Frati got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Vierchowod. Sandrinho Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrea Valeri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Ciccarelli to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Andrea Valeri made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Cambotinha EC's Antônio Toledo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrea Valeri. Andrea Valeri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Pallotta in the 67th minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Guilherme Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 75th minute, but Andrea Valeri got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving A.c Tre dei Frati hanging dry this time. In the 76th minute Fausto Frasca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, one of A.c Tre dei Frati:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.c Tre dei Frati. A.c Tre dei Frati:s Andrea Valeri showed great skill when he stopped Luizinho de Queiroz:s penalty. In the 80th play minute Luizinho de Queiroz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Andrea Valeri. 3-2. 83 minutes into the match, Cambotinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Pallotta came free, but Guilherme Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Andrea Valeri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho Donatello struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Andrea Valeri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambotinha EC. Fausto Frasca kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Emanuel de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A.c Tre dei Frati fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cambotinha EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
