After some careless play in the Golden Team defense, Christian Ciccarelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Cortez. The Golden Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Cortez should have stopped the shot. Andrea Valeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Orlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of A.c Tre dei Frati booed when Golden Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A.c Tre dei Frati's Emiliano Losito shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luis Cortez but with some difficulty. 17 minutes into the game, Melquiades Ponciano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.c Tre dei Frati the free kick. After a rather tough play, Golden Team's Melquiades Ponciano got a free kick in the 17th minute. Daniel Artizar scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrea Valeri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aldo Pallotta might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Cortez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aldo Pallotta ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Diegotxe kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luis Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Ciccarelli in the 34th minute of the match. A.c Tre dei Frati's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emiliano Losito in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Ciccarelli could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Luis Cortez however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Golden Team's Melquiades Ponciano got a free kick in the 40th minute. Luis Cortez was a little too slow when Christian Ciccarelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Pallotta in the 48th minute of play forced Golden Team's goalkeeper Luis Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Christian Ciccarelli made the kick off in the second half. Luis Cortez came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by A.c Tre dei Frati's Christian Ciccarelli. But to his dismay, Christian Ciccarelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Carter Malvezzi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Aldo Pallotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Luis Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When A.c Tre dei Frati's Fabio Vierchowod in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golden Team's goalie prevented a goal. Luis Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Ciccarelli in the 65th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Pallotta in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Cortez saved Golden Team from getting behind. If Aldo Pallotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Ciccarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Luis Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Pallotta in the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Golden Team's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Pallotta came free, but Luis Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bianco Patricelli's late challenge caught a Golden Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bianco Patricelli helped the player get up and apologised. Bianco Patricelli hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. A.c Tre dei Frati's Andrea Valeri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save A.c Tre dei Frati from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. A.c Tre dei Frati had won after a very even match.
