Belcho Hlebarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, ЦСКА's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Tafalla came free, but Anzhelo Gerushin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 52 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Christian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute of play forced ЦСКА's goalkeeper Anzhelo Gerushin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th of the match, Sebastian Villa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Anzhelo Gerushin got in the way and made a wonderful save. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Anzhelo Gerushin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bilyan Fudulov's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bilyan Fudulov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Honduras booed when ЦСКА was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dancho Vamporov's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dancho Vamporov helped the player get up and apologised. Dancho Vamporov kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Anzhelo Gerushin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. Honduras were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ЦСКА to leave the ground with a draw.
