When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibor Pálffy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of the match. Tibor Pálffy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 62nd minute Edvin Lilleväli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Edvin Lilleväli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. After having played for 66 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Haljala's Ragnar Tähismaa got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Ragnar Tähismaa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. In the 72nd match minute, Haljala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Tähismaa to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Haljala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Haljala's Adam Dobrițoiu got a free kick in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Haljala's goalkeeper Tibor Pálffy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 89th minute of play forced Haljala's goalkeeper Tibor Pálffy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 minutes, Kaspar Veerma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haljala and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Tomas Illescas fired a really elegant long shot, but Tibor Pálffy threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Haljala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
