Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Lange showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Sixten Dahlgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Allan Kilstedt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Allan Kilstedt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 16th minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Egil Blom sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Dahlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Carlberg in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Egil Blom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Egil Blom tried to chip the ball over his head. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frogner's Sixten Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Frogner's David Lange nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Hallgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Östen Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Frogner's Yannik Peternell got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute David Lange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Dahlgren having to interfere. Frogner's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Sixten Dahlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Frogner's Adrian Sikström was substituted for Allan Kilstedt. 85 minutes into the match, Frogner's goalkeeper Sixten Dahlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 85th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-3. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
