Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 13th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. John Aldridge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexander Arnold was slow to take the kick. During this time Manly FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Uruguay's goalie and right to Pete Wittber. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Uruguay's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mo Salah did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso 23 minutes into the match. Joaquin Gayoso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Manly FC's John Aldridge shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Irving Bonnison hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Aldridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Duke Carnduff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mo Salah's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
