Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by King Scorpio in the 9th minute. Glenn Fyfe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 15th minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from King Scorpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Alessandro Del Piero tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Batistuta in the 26th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Mcdonald scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Glenn Fyfe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Purcărete came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. King Scorpio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. King Scorpio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Glenn Fyfe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Del Piero. Marco Day was a little too slow when Alessandro Del Piero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. James Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. If Dumitru Purcărete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute James Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Mcdonald struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Glenn Fyfe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Purcărete didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, A4p FC Gad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Manzi to maneuver through the defense. Glenn Fyfe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Monty Rogers in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 77th minute of the match. Monty Rogers might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glenn Fyfe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Monty Rogers ran back to his position shaking his head. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. 82 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when King Scorpio came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc. But to his dismay, Gică Busuioc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jenson Smith hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, A4p FC Gad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Răduleț to maneuver through the defense. Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Brown didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Busuioc in the 94th minute of play. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because A4p FC Gad had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
