Koit Vaikma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Koit Vaikma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristjan Jaani got free with Dante Lacasa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rauno Koba was the one to do the kick off. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koit Vaikma having to interfere. Vila's Koit Vaikma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 81st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dido Gorolomov, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dido Gorolomov, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, Vila's Koit Vaikma got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vila throughout the match.
