Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Márcio Cordeiro scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Eurico lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Beatriz 08 defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico lago. The FC Beatriz 08 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico lago should have stopped the shot. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes, Flavio Graziani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Beatriz 08 and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Graziani to maneuver through the defense. If Pepe Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Márcio Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Beatriz 08's protests and gave Márcio Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Barto Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Eurico lago despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eurico lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of the match. When Barto Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the FC Beatriz 08 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barto Sánchez couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Eurico lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Eurico lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico lago having to interfere. Eurico lago made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, FC Beatriz 08's Flavio Graziani got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Daniel Zorita fired a really elegant long shot, but Eurico lago threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Eurico lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eurico lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Beatriz 08's Eurico lago got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eurico lago. Eurico lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. With a little luck, FC Beatriz 08's Eurico lago got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner led to Ecuador's Antonio Arias getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico lago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Bomba came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Bomba in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Pepe Bomba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador played a much better game than FC Beatriz 08 and deserved their victory. The FC Beatriz 08 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
