Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Stefano, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. But to his dismay, Alfredo Stefano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wincent Dropinski having to make a save. In the 40th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wincent Dropinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wincent Dropinski having to interfere. Wincent Dropinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wincent Dropinski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute of the game, José Pedro Carneiro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Castanheiro SC made a substitution. Jânio Sanches replaced José Pedro Carneiro. Jose Manzanedo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Alfredo Stefano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Stefano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Wincent Dropinski made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
