Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Borys Witek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of the match. Borys Witek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Brufoss IL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Brufoss IL's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Brufoss IL's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kevin Strømsnes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Borys Witek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Borys Witek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brufoss IL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Christer Ribe's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Ribe helped the player get up and apologised. Christer Ribe kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Markham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After having played for 33 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Remme in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Witek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Remme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Emanuel Markham's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brufoss IL were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kai Østbye took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Jakob Lode heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Brufoss IL's Borys Witek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Brufoss IL from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Borys Witek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Are Høiby replaced Kevin Strømsnes. Borys Witek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Markham in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brufoss IL's Kent Remme got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Brufoss IL's Kent Remme got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Markham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Kenneth Heistad's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Kenneth Heistad helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Jan-Kenneth Heistad got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Brufoss IL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
