An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Csabagyöngye's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Róbert Dömötör, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Fabelo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Fabelo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Fabelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Csabagyöngye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lajos Kárpáthy didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Péter Mészáros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute, Lajos Kárpáthy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Fabelo in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Norbert Kiss was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Fabelo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Csabagyöngye could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
