Cha Fe FC's Teobaldo Phelipe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dumitru Doloman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 19 minutes into the match, Cha Fe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Gabrielsson came free, but Elvio Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when 孟鹰泉 made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Cha Fe FC defense, Stig-Åke Gabrielsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Pacho. The Cha Fe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Pacho should have stopped the shot.
