With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Veerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Veerman's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. A nice corner shot did that Anton Scheupach got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmond Verdun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
