It was a well-played corner which Mihăiţă Moisil managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Anghelescu in the 14th minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Dinu Oardă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Oardă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Anghelescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Dumitru Doloman made a huge save. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when Viola Invest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonin Lauze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinu Oardă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Liviu Frumușanu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antonin Lauze, made in the 31st minute of the game. Victor Lucila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumitru Doloman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Dinu Oardă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 35th minute of the match. Victor Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dumitru Doloman made a huge save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liviu Frumușanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dumitru Doloman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Frumușanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinu Oardă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stig-Åke Gabrielsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. After 59 minutes Viola Invest's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ernest Oprescu who took care of the corner kick. Ernest Oprescu made a great header on MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's corner, it was just that Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Viola Invest's Francisco Su got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dinu Oardă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuuno Tälli in the 63rd minute of play. Liviu Frumușanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Doloman having to interfere. Dinu Oardă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuuno Tälli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinu Oardă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuuno Tälli in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Viola Invest's Gavril Anghelescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The Viola Invest supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Viola Invest would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
