Derman Soysaldı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 8th minute Henk Veerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lothar Heber kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matteo Mata got free with Rune Jarstein in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Elenescu came free, but Derman Soysaldı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moritz Hasenjäger in the 18th minute. Henk Veerman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Rune Jarstein 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Henk Veerman notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein. Rune Jarstein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Derman Soysaldı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Derman Soysaldı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Oswald in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristian Oswald in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derman Soysaldı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hertha 1969's goalie and right to Anton Scheupach. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hertha 1969's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 52nd minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Oswald came free, but Derman Soysaldı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
