Victor Lucila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Jarstein having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match Hertha 1969 got a corner. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moritz Hasenjäger ran over to the corner to take the kick. Moritz Hasenjäger made a great header on Hertha 1969's corner, it was just that MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dinu Oardă managed to reach the ball for a save. 24 minutes into the game, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Victor Lucila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rune Jarstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Dinu Oardă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Hasenjäger, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rupert Heidingsfelder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dinu Oardă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV defense, Wilhelm Nienhaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinu Oardă. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinu Oardă should have stopped the shot. Liviu Frumușanu scored 2-3 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Jarstein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dinu Oardă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute of the game Erman Uğuz made a throw-in which Edwin 雷岩 played forward. The throw-in from Mihăiţă Moisil in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hertha 1969's Lüder Roppel. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Lucila in the 80th minute of play. Dinu Oardă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Hasenjäger in the 81st minute of play. When MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Victor Lucila in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wilhelm Nienhaus did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-4 to the left of a surprised Dinu Oardă 92 minutes into the match. The Hertha 1969 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hertha 1969 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
