Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gersi Snabe having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Harsh Gods was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriele Meilutyte to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Lain in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Lain in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harsh Gods's Tomas Lain got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harsh Gods made a substitution. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jogaila Makauskas couldn't finish the play. Abdurrahim Dengizer's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdurrahim Dengizer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Harsh Gods getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Abdurrahim Dengizer hit a great ball. If Jogaila Makauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
