Matei Félix Júnior didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Julio Iglesias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 3-0. Victor Piţurcă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Victor Piţurcă made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Emerald's Victor Piţurcă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 5-0 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Emerald made a substitution. Ioan Logofătu replaced Julio Iglesias. 54 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Victor Piţurcă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute, Victor Piţurcă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 68th minute of the game, Victor Piţurcă landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 72nd minute of play. Emerald's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Carioca in the 73rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Gabriel Vermeşan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a Emerald's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Craioveanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gheorghe Craioveanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Gheorghe Craioveanu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gheorghe Craioveanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gheorghe Craioveanu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Gheorghe Craioveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, Emerald's Gheorghe Craioveanu made it 10-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 96th minute of play.
