In the 20th minute of the match Harsh Gods got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Carlos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 24th minute, Roberto Carlos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Octavio Froylan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gersi Snabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Tomas Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Lain in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roberto Carlos was slow to take the kick. During this time Harsh Gods's players had a chance to rest. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Octavio Froylan might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavio Froylan ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Froylan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes, Jogaila Makauskas made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Harsh Gods's Jokūbas Miškūnas was substituted for Gabriele Meilutyte. Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Long Zhen Zhi, made in the 68th minute of the game. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Harsh Gods's Jogaila Makauskas got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Tomas Lain suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Harsh Gods booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Jogaila Makauskas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jogaila Makauskas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Froylan in the 85th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Jokūbas Miškūnas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Harsh Gods made a substitution. Stanislovas Jacys replaced Jogaila Makauskas. A collision led to Harsh Gods getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jogaila Makauskas hit a great ball. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Harsh Gods walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
