Sosnowiec defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbyszko Andrzejewski. The F.C. Sosnowiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszko Andrzejewski should have stopped the shot. After 9 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Maksymilian Japola. Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Andrzejewski having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, F.C. Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksymilian Japola to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszko Andrzejewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszko Andrzejewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maksymilian Japola. Tomas Illescas scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszko Andrzejewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zbyszko Andrzejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Sosnowiec's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Andrzejewski came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when F.C. Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Scigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Wlodzimierz Odachowski in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Andrzejewski having to interfere. F.C. Sosnowiec's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tomas Illescas 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, F.C. Sosnowiec's Zbyszko Andrzejewski got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense.
