In the 2nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes Centenario Bohemio got a freekick which was hit by Severo Maju. In the 6th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafino Nisio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Tavio saved Centenario Bohemio from getting behind. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Berterame in the 31st minute of play. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gonzalo Berterame sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Berterame in the 38th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matías Molina who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Horacio Bernaldo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Berterame struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centenario Bohemio. 48 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías Donato.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Matías Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Centenario Bohemio's Andres Tavio got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Centenario Bohemio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Fontanini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Berterame in the 71st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo López, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Serafino Nisio with Mauro Fontanini as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 81 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo López notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Tavio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Berterame's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Centenario Bohemio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
